Five Star REVIEWS!

If you wear removable dentures, you know what a hassle they can be. While traditional dentures do a good job replacing the visible portion of teeth (if they stay in place), they do not replace the tooth roots. This lack of comprehensive tooth restoration results in jaw bone loss and an unstable bite.

All-on-4® is an advanced type of implant-supported denture offering a unique tooth replacement alternative that requires less supportive treatment, includes artificial tooth roots to stimulate the jaw bone, provides a secure bite, and is significantly less expensive than traditional implants.

Chicago Dental Arts now offer All-on-4® dental implant-supported dentures in and around Chicago, Illinois, for patients in Skokie, Hinsdale, downtown Chicago, the Chicago Loop, and more.

Am I a Candidate for All-on-4®?

All-on-4® dental implants provide a sturdy, permanent alternative to removable dentures and is an excellent solution for individuals who are missing most or all of their teeth and want a better option.

If you have been missing many teeth for an extended period of time, you may have already experienced significant bone loss. Individual implants require a healthy jaw bone for implant stability and often involve bone grafting before the implant procedure can begin.

All-on-4® can be placed with little or no supportive treatment. However, gum disease should be treated and resolved before receiving implants. If your jaw bone has weakened considerably due to resorption, you may need bone augmentation before having your All-on-4 implant-supported dentures placed.

Call Chicago Dental Arts at (312) 642-6631 to learn more about our All-on-4® dental implant option or to schedule an in-depth consultation with Dr. Fedin.

The Benefits of All-on-4® Implant-Supported Dentures

The innovative technology used in the creation and strategic placement of All-on-4® dental implants offers several benefits:

  • All-on-4® dentures cannot be lost or misplaced.
  • All-on-4® replaces a full arch of teeth to restore your smile.
  • All-on-4® requires less pre-treatment than other implant options and often none at all.
  • All-on-4® results are permanent with proper daily care and regular checkups.
  • All-on-4® offers a stable and secure bite for confidence when eating your favorite foods.
  • With All-on-4®, there is no chance of potential embarrassment due to your dentures slipping when you speak.
  • All-on-4® offers a faster tooth-replacement solution and shorter recovery period than with other dental implant procedures.
  • All-on-4® provides stimulation to the jaw with artificial tooth roots that help prevent bone loss and the narrowing of facial features.

How Does All-on-4® Work?

Chicago Dental Arts is equipped with a ConeBeam 3D scanner for detailed three-dimensional images of your jaw and remaining teeth. This advanced imaging allows Dr. Fedin to evaluate the condition of your jawbone and develop a strategic dental implant placement plan that can eliminate the need for bone grafting.

To verify your eligibility for All-on-4® dental implants, Dr. Fedin will review your medical history and perform a complete oral exam. If he determines that you are a good candidate, your procedure will be scheduled at your convenience.

For many patients, All-on-4 implants can be completed in as little as one day. Any remaining teeth on the arch receiving the implants are removed during the procedure, and four incisions are made in the gum according to your treatment plan.

You will then have four dental implants inserted through your gums and into the jaw bone at an angle for increased stability to serve as anchor points for one or both arches of prosthetic teeth.

Temporary dentures will be securely attached, and the implant posts will integrate with the jaw over time. You will return for your permanent denture when the implants are completely fused to the bone.

Is There Downtime Associated With All-on-4® Implants?

While All-on-4® already involves a shorter recovery period than other implant options, Dr. Fedin also uses an advanced laser technology called Waterlase to ensure your comfort when receiving dental implants and further shorten your downtime.

Dr. Fedin will advise you to eat soft foods for up to three months after receiving All-on-4® implant-supported dentures. The temporary denture you will wear while your implants heal is not designed for chewing hard foods. Avoid crunchy snacks and drinking through a straw, as this can disrupt the protective blood clots that develop at the implant sites.

What Results Can I Expect With All-on-4®?

After your dental implants have fully integrated with your jaw and you have your permanent denture(s), you can expect a more aesthetically pleasing and natural feeling smile with a comfortable, stable bite.

With All-on-4®, you can expect:

  • A restored smile
  • Significantly improved dental function and stability
  • Permanent replacement teeth that don’t slip and can’t be lost
  • Healthy stimulation for your jaw bone and a much lower risk of jaw bone resorption
